I always thought church groups were overrated and only for kids who suck up to their parents or can't make decisions for themselves.
holy shit, has my perspective changed
Y.O.U. has seriously changed how I saw things
(and made me realize how judgmental I am. ahhh!)
Not even just y.o.u.
Dakota and Jesse have done the same thing.
It was amazing. I could feel other people's love for me. There were a hundred freaking strangers who knew my name, but yet, GENUINELY about cared me. The feeling was almost stronger than some of worst pains and heart aches I've ever felt. I forgot about affliction from my family's problems and the scars from abuse for almost the first time in my entire life. All the hurt from literally having to leave every person I have ever been close to in my life just stopped hanging above my head like a rain cloud. I don't have to let these issues define me and become a catalyst for my well being.
All the emotions I have felt since are real, I am feeling them because I can
and I feel happy because I actually am and not because I keep telling myself that to make my smiles look a little less fake.
